Join us for an exciting week of cultural immersion as we take youth on a transformative journey to Ghana. This experience will offer a deep dive into Ghanaian culture, history, and traditions — including the profound history of the transatlantic slave trade — while fostering global connections and personal growth. Youth participants will have the opportunity to learn, explore, and create unforgettable memories on the continent where so much of our story begins. Travel Documents & Health Checklist
- Passport — valid for at least 6 months beyond travel dates, with 1 blank visa page
- Ghana Tourist Visa — required in advance (no visa-on-arrival for U.S. citizens); apply 4–6 weeks before departure
- Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate ("yellow card") — required for entry, must be received at least 10 days before travel
- Routine vaccines up to date (polio, measles) — check with your doctor about additional CDC-recommended vaccines for Ghana
- 2 passport-sized photos — for the visa application
- Proof of accommodations & flight itinerary — required as part of the visa application packet
